Aetna Dental PPO has been around for decades delivering exceptional plans to individuals looking to take better care of their smile without the heavy expense. While no two plans are the same, the benefits often look somewhat similar. When reviewing your policy, you may find that the breakdown looks like the following:

  • 100% preventive care (i.e., dental checkups and teeth cleanings, X-rays)
  • 80% minor restorative care (i.e., dental fillings)
  • 50% major restorative care (i.e., tooth extractions, root canals)

When considering how best to use your benefits, it’s important to remember that you must first meet your deductible. Also, since you have an annual maximum you must be mindful of, you can expect that we will review your treatment plan and if possible, find ways to help you avoid additional out-of-pocket expenses should you go over the allotted amount provided to you in a single year. It may be possible for us to spread your treatment over calendar years so that you can take advantage of both annual maximums.

Of course, this level of savings is only possible if you choose to see someone in-network with your Aetna insurance. If you do not have this type of plan, and we are considered out-of-network, you will be required to pay more for the treatment you receive.
